PHY 122 Lab Summer (Alternate!)
PHY 122 is a second course a two semester sequence in introductory physics with applications to biology, primarily for students majoring in biological sciences or pre-clinical programs. PHY 122 Lab is intended to give students experience with the physics concepts about which they are studying and to help students learn techniques of data collection, analysis and presentation.
The scope of the introductory labs is to give an understanding of basic experimental methods applied in physical sciences. The experiments performed during the lab sessions are closely related to the topics covered in the lecture. Topics for PHY 122 include electromagnetism, optics, acoustics, and radiation phenomena.
For Summer 2023, PHY 122 will be taught in Stony Brook University Summer Session 2 from July 10 to August 19.
Here are alternate manuals for experiments which your course instructor may choose for you to perform. Please consult your course Brightspace site for the schedule.
Course policies for PHY 122 in Summer Session are established by the instructor for that course. Please look for announcements via e-mail or on Brightspace.
